Employment Policy

It is the policy of North Valley Hospital District to provide equal opportunity in employment to all employees and applicants for employment. No person will be discriminated against in employment practices including but not limited to employment, retention, promotion, discipline and termination. This policy shall be enforced without regard to age, rage, handicap, religious creed, color, sex or national origin, to the applicants or employees to the extend provided by law and applies to all terms, conditions, and privileges of employment and all policies of the organization. 

In general, North Valley Hospital District permits the employment of qualified relatives of employees so long as their employment does not, in the opinion of North Valley Hospital, create conflicts of interest. 

For the purposes of this policy, a "relative" is defined as the employee's spouse, or significant other, brother, sister, parents, grandparents, children, stepchildren, father-in-law or mother-in-law, and any other member of the employee's household.
